1.7.15

Today was our first human geo class of 2015. We talked about North and South Korea, but mostly North. North Korea has an oppressive government. It is a state-run socialist government, but many consider it to be a stalinist dictatorship. The official name is Democratic People's Republic of Korea. (Notice they say Korea not North Korea) North Korea claims to be the ruler of the entire peninsula. It is also a very secluded and isolated place, geographically and in the government. They only let a select few come in and out. The capital of North Korea is Pyongyang which is located at 39 degrees north, which happens to be the same latitude as Bel Air. South Korea is a very open, growing country.  They have great technology which is improving every day. North and South Korea are very different from each other.
